BIOGRAPHY
Neal Pace plays music that is simple, straight-forward, roots rock. Sometimes hard rock, sometimes folk rock, sometimes nearly country; his styles vary from song to song, but are usually similar to some of his biggest influences. Neal began playing guitar sometime in the summer of 1999. He had went to a pawn shop in search of a table saw; instead, he bought a really rough 1950's vintage Harmony hollow-body electric guitar. That guitar started Neal's love for playing rock music. He had played saxophone in jazz bands in high school and college, but guitar was something completely different. Neal became influenced by some other musicians he had met through the internet (who occasionally now collaborate to make good ol' hippie music through the web - www.thejangleband.com) and became inspired to start writing (and recording) his own music. He took part in the RPM challenge, in 2008 (record an album in the month of Feb) and kicked out 11 songs. He would repeat the challenge in 2009, but fell slightly short of the goal due to unforeseen issues. When Neal grows up, he wants to play music for a living. |
